Free advice is good sometimes :)

Responses to Female travellers...Travelling alone? Are you serious? It’s not safe..blah blah blah!

Ladies, have you ever heard all of this whenever you expressed the thought of travelling alone?

Don’t worry these are the people who are always busy in arithmetic and are satisfied with whatever they see everyday.

If you have the urge for travelling to new places, follow these three instructions strictly:
·         Ask your family and assure them that you will be safe. Your safety is of utmost importance.
·         Don’t think too much. Just go, because this is the right time.
·        Don’t plead to someone for joining you, there are a lot many lone travellers so you will be adding just one more.

Now, would like to share four important tips which you may find worth considering, whenever you are travelling to some other city or to some other country.

1.  Read, Analyse and Plan:
Make enquiries about the place. Read about it, analyse all the risks and plan accordingly. The only aim should be to maximise your learning and have a great experience. Travel should be in a disciplined manner and try to fix and stick to the timelines. Although flexibility is okay sometimes but you are the only one who has to take a call.

2.  Observe your surroundings and be aware:
To involve yourself with the local culture is good but make sure that you know your surroundings and are not lost into it. Always keep in mind that people around you know that you are a tourist and that exposes you to a possible risk. Would advise not to trust everyone, not even a female. So keep yourself safe.

3.  Stay in touch:
Inform your family and a few closed friends about your tentative travel plan, give them a few contact nos. To be used in emergency. Keep them updated with your whereabouts. This must be your “must to do” checklist item.

4. Enjoy to the fullest:
And this is the most important tip. Rejuvenate yourself and enjoy to the fullest. Don’t look into your wallet too much J although its better to stick to your budget.

(not to mention always keep many copies of your important documents like passport, visa etc...Just in case...)

So pack your bags, go there and explore J

Once you come back, people, who were being so sceptical about your travel plan, will be the first ones to come and to listen to your stories.
