Sharing experience

-->
I don’t remember now, how many times I have boarded a train or a flight or a cab for journey. And truly saying, I don’t want to remember.
But I get a mixed type of feeling when people say you must be enjoying your travelling actually I feel confused. I tell them yes I do and then I think I am really not.
During my latest travel, I boarded the Shatabdi and while stepping in I felt “oh, It has become my third home”..
For clarity:
1. One in my home town
2. One in Delhi (rented Flat)
3. Third one - My beloved Shatabdi express
Anyways, that’s not a matter of discussion. One important thing that I realized, trains are the best place to observe and understand Human behavior. All those studying psychology and other subjects regarding Human behavior must be using trains as a tool for their case studies.
I am also in the process of understanding human behavior although I am not doing any specialization in any course relating to human behavior.
I can share some of the important facts with you which can be used whenever you travel to a new destination.
Least preferably, You can choose some stranger to talk who is sitting in the seat adjacent to yours. But as very recently, some more announcements have been included in Indian railways security system which suggests you not to become friendly with strangers. So considering it one of the important announcements, I now prefer to spend time with myself specifically in trains.
Now I am able to prioritize my doings during travelling or I would like to say that I have found my ways to kill the travel time. I can prioritize it in the following way:
  • By taking small naps
  • By reading Novel/news paper
  • By watching outside the window
  • By working on my official laptop (Least Favorite)
  • By chatting on mobile phone
I have found one more importance of travelling - if you are somewhat an emotional person like me, you get enough time to think about your relations with your families and your friends. So I suggest you to travel long distances at least twice a year, you will definitely find a solution if you have any kind of question.
And yeah, as you all know the condition of Indian Railways and also the news of recent train accidents sometimes dominates the mind and force us to think of something unwanted. But don’t worry that’s very rare. Otherwise most of the time you are just in the thought of how to kill my travel time. I have found some ways which I have already mentioned above.
Note: After reading “the White Tiger”, I suggest you to take care while travelling by cab. And prefer to involve yourself in reading. And also don’t let the driver know anything about you, so don’t chat on your mobile phone for long.
Well I am still trying to understand it deeply, how to kill my travel time specifically in trains. If you have any suggestions, do let me know.
